Welcome to California Franchise Tax Board’s Electronic Filing for Information Returns (Forms 1098, 1099, 5498 and W2G)
Franchise Tax Board's Information Return Filing Program no longer accepts 1099 files through this website. FTB is transitioning to a new secure electronic filing method called Secure Web Internet File Transfer (SWIFT.)
SWIFT is an Internet File Transfer System that provides our customers with a secure method for transferring files to and retrieving from FTB.
If you filed your tax year 2007 Information Returns electronically using this web page, we probably have already converted your account to SWIFT and you should have received an email message from us explaining how to use the SWIFT system.
If you have not received a notification from us, email us at IRPhelp@ftb.ca.gov or call us at 916.845.6304 so we can set up your account. In addition, if you have questions about SWIFT, you can find answers to frequently asked questions at: http://www.ftb.ca.gov/professionals/taxnews/swift_faq.html.
Note: To conform to IRS, tax year 2008 is the last year we will accept tape cartridges, diskettes and compact discs (CDs) for the filing of information returns. For tax year 2009, electronic filing will be the ONLY acceptable method to file information returns with us.
