These tips are specific to the 2007 ReadyReturn Program. We will update them for 2008 in January.
We recommend you have the following information on hand before you begin ReadyReturn:
- Your bank account information if you want to receive your refund by direct deposit or to pay the amount you owe electronically.
- All income and tax statements you received for 2007 , such as Forms W-2, W-2G, 1099-G, 1099-INT, and 1099-R.
- Use tax information, if reporting California use tax.
- Your federal tax return, if you want to itemize your deductions.
Keep the following in mind when using ReadyReturn online:
- Use the navigation buttons at the bottom of each page to move through ReadyReturn. Do not use your browser's buttons.
- An asterisk (*) indicates a required entry.
- Do not use punctuation marks, such as dashes in identification numbers and periods in dollar amounts.
- Round all dollar amounts to the nearest whole dollar. For example, $14.50 becomes $15 and $10.25 becomes $10.
- If you need to exit ReadyReturn, use the "Log Out" link. This will erase any changes you made. The original information we presented to you will still be available if you decide to use ReadyReturn again.
- You have 20 minutes to complete each part of ReadyReturn. If you take longer, we will log you out of ReadyReturn and you will need to start over.
